Riverside Park: On Riverside Drive accessed by Maple and Woodring
Streets. Riverside Park contains a playground, volleyball court, picnic area, take-out ramp for rafters and
kayakers, and an open playing field.
Commercial use of the rafter landing is paid for by the commercial rafting companies at a rate of $2.50
per person. The revenue generated by commercial rafters has been used to maintain and upgrade the park. A
changing room is provided and porta-potties are located at both ends of the park. Rate effective January 1,
1995
A paved trail for walking, biking and skating runs the full length of the park and along the dike from Aplets
Way to N. Douglas Street.
The city accepts reservations for the picnic area at the east end of the park. The reservation fee is
$20.00 non-refundable. There is a $50.00 cleaning deposit also required. Applications are available at City
Hall. Rate effective June 28, 1999.
