Cashmere Public Pool
 
 

The heated, outdoor swimming pool is open from mid-June through August or early September depending upon school opening/closing dates. Reservations for pool rental are available by special arrangement with the pool manager. Swim teams are formed and entered in competition with surrounding cities. Swim team information is available at the pool.


                                         Pool Rules
1. Shower before swimming.
2. No person with a communicable disease may use the pool.
3. No open cuts/wounds allowed in pool.
4. No person under the influence of alcohol or drugs may enter the pool.
5. Swim suits only - no cut-offs or shorts.
6. Swim Diapers are required for all children under the age of three who are not toilet trained.  Diapers may be purchased at the pool counter.                                                                                                                             
7.No street clothes on pool deck. 
8. No masks or fins during open swims.
9. No lifejackets or other flotation devices deeper than the four-foot area.
10. No chewing gum or smoking in the facility.
11. All bags, food, sunscreen, etc. must be kept either in a locker or on the grass.
12. No swearing, running, pushing or dunking.
13. No swimming in diving area.
14. Children ages 5 and under must be in reach of a mature and responsible adult at all times.  There must be one adult for every three children ages 5 and under.

Anyone who fails to observe these rules or obey the lifeguards will be removed from the pool.  Continued violation will result in loss of swimming privileges.

2009 SWIMMING LESSONS 

All courses will be held Monday through Thursday for two weeks.  The cost is $25.00 per city resident swimmer and $30.00 per nonresident. 

Swim lesson signups will begin Monday June 15 at 5:00 p.m. and will be during open swims thereafter. Payment is required at time of registration.  We do not hold slots so come early!

 

Session 1:  June 22 - July 2

Session 2:  July 6 - July   16  

Session 3:   July 20 - July  30 

Session 4:  August 3 – August 13  

BEGINNING/INTERMEDIATE LEVELS:

Red Cross levels are available to children age 4 and up.  Each class will be full at 8 swimmers.

ADVANCED LEVELS:

All upper levels are offered to children age 4 and up.  Each class will be full at 10 swimmers.

SPECIAL OFFERINGS:

Each class will be full at 6 swimmers. 

These classes are based on Red Cross Level I skills specialized for children ages 3 to 5.

  5:00- 5:30 P.M.   Starfish-This is a Parent/Tot class designed for young children ages 9 months to 3 years and their parents, focusing on water adjustment and basic swimming skills.  This class is available for the August session only.

 

PRIVATE LESSONS AVAILABLE – $20 per hour (resident), $25 per hour (non-resident) for 1 or 2 people. Inquire at pool for availability. 

The Cashmere Water Park reserves the right to cancel or combine courses with 3 or fewer swimmers.
