Cashmere City Pool
 

 

The heated, outdoor swimming pool is open from mid-June through August or early September depending upon school opening/closing dates. Reservations for pool rental are available by special arrangement with the pool manager. Swim teams are formed and entered in competition with surrounding cities. Swim team information is available at the pool.

                                         Pool Rules
  1)  Shower before swimming.
  2)
   No open cuts/wounds allowed in pool.
  3)
   No person under the influence of alcohol or drugs may enter the water park.
  4)
   Swim suits only- No cut offs or shorts
  5)
   Anyone in diapers must wear protective covering to prevent contamination.
  6)
    Swim Diapers are required for all children under the age of three who are not toilet             trained.     Changing diapers on the pool deck is prohibited.
  7)
   No masks or fins during open swims.
  8)
   No lifejackets or other flotation devices deeper than the four-foot area.
  9)
   No chewing gum or smoking in the facility.
10)
 All bags, food, sunscreen etc. must be kept either in a locker or on the grass – no glass. No food or drink in pool water.
11)
 No swearing, running, pushing or dunking.
12)
 No swimming in diving area except when diving board is closed.
13)
 Children under the age of 6 must be within arm’s reach of a parent at all times
14)
  Individuals with a communicable disease or that have been ill with vomiting or diarrhea in the last two weeks, are prohibited from using the pool.
15)
  ANYONE WITH SEIZURE, HEART OR CIRCULATORY PROBLEMS IS ADVISED TO SWIM WITH A BUDDY.
16)
 ANYONE REFUSING TO OBEY THE POOL RULES IS SUBJECT TO REMOVAL FROM THE PREMISES.

Anyone who fails to observe these rules or obey the lifeguards will be removed from the pool.  Continued violation will result in loss of swimming privileges.

2010 Lessons

Morning classes will be held Monday through Thursday for two weeks.  Evening classes will be held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday for two weeks. The cost is $25.00 per city resident swimmer and $30.00 per non-resident. 

Swim lesson signups will begin Monday June 14 at 5:00 p.m. and will be during open swims thereafter. Payment is required at time of registration.  We do not hold slots so come early!

Red Cross levels are designed for children age 5 and up.  Each class will be full at 8 swimmers.

SPECIAL OFFERINGS:

Each class will be full at 6 swimmers. 

These classes are based on Red Cross Level I skills specialized for children ages 3 to 5.

 5:00- 5:25 P.M.     Starfish-This is a Parent/Tot class designed for young children ages 9 months to 3 years and their parents, focusing on water adjustment and basic swimming skills. This class offered only Sessions 2 and 4.
 

PRIVATE LESSONS AVAILABLE – 1 or 2 swimmers per lesson. $20 per hour (resident), $25 per hour (non-resident). Inquire at pool for availability. 

The Cashmere City Pool reserves the right to cancel or combine courses with 3 or fewer swimmers.
