precipitation per year. Summer temperatures average 50-85º, winter
temperatures average 18-35º, the approximate snowfall is 50 inches December through
February. Cashmere is at 800 feet above sea level on the eastern slopes of
the Cascade mountains.
Cashmere has seven parks: Riverside park, Cottage Avenue park, Ardeta park,
Railroad park, The Water Park, River Street park, and Simpson park.
Cashmere has earned the Tree city USA designation for the last 14 years.
Recreation in this area includes camping, hiking, biking, river rafting,
roller-blading, soccer, softball, swimming, boating, skiing (cross-country &
downhill), and snowmobiling.
Festivals celebrated in Cashmere are: Founders Day, the last weekend
in June; Apple Days, the 1st weekend of October; the Chelan County fair, the Thursday,
through Sunday following labor day.
